About Tod Cury
After graduating from the School of Aerospace Medicine, Texas, USA, Tod spent six years working in a hospital clinical setting specialising in preventive medicine. In addition, Tod trained as an Emergency Medical Technician and paramedic at East Los Angeles College. Returning to university to complete a business and management qualification, Tod graduated from the University of Maryland in 1985 and joined Glaxo Pharmaceuticals in 1986. Tod later began to focus his attention towards the developing information technology industry designing and selling healthcare IT solutions.
Besides setting up and managing his own software company, Emerging Technologies Limited, for 7 years, Tod has spent over 20 years working in industry, holding a variety of positions in companies like McDonnell Douglas Information Systems, IBM, British Telecom and Red Hat. Tod is currently a part time advising consultant to both commercial and government organisations.
Tod has been practicing self hypnosis, NLP and relaxation techniques since 1991 and his current professional role as a mind management and life change consultant is based on him attributing his own professional success to the basic underlying principles and application of hypnotic suggestion and other techniques. Tod was introduced to modern hypnotic techniques and received training in NLP Hypnosis by Dr. Richard Bandler, co-founder of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and Dr. Paul McKenna, one of the world’s most renowned hypnotists.
In addition, Tod holds a certificate and diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and advanced practitioner diplomas in Clinical Hypnosis and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. Since 2003 Tod has held a private clinical practice in central London and is currently based in Harley Street. He is a full member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) and a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), as well as a senior associate member of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM). Tod is also registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Tod is also a qualified lecturer and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy having been awarded with distinction a post graduate certificate (PGCert) in learning and teaching from the University of West London (TVU). Tod was previously the Programme Leader for the TVU MSc programme in Clinical Hypnosis and the Director of Academic Assessments at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis, where he worked part time for 7 years. Tod has also completed a vast number of clinical hypnosis and medical master classes, in addition to many different management, sales, leadership and coaching courses/programmes. Tod is the principal and programme director of the International College of Clinical Hypnosis Practitioners and teaches in medical schools for Thames Medical Lectures.
Tod enjoys sharing his vast knowledge and experience to encourage and help others who are interested in their own personal development. He presents seminars, workshops and lectures on a variety of personal development, mind management, life change and clinical hypnosis topics and is available for corporate or public speaking engagements.
